Principals

Dr. Paul Kretchmer is a founder and Managing Director of the Company. Dr. Kretchmer has held leadership roles with the U.S. State Department and the Rockefeller Foundation. He was founder and CEO of The Learning Cube, COO of World Ready Software and founder and CEO of LightHawk International. Over the course of his career, he has assessed business opportunities, directed strategic development, and negotiated relationships with partner companies. He has written edited and developed documents, white papers and manuals for Chevron Products Company, MetLife, MFS/Sun Life Financial, Goldman Sachs, NutraSweet and other Fortune 1000 companies. Dr. Kretchmer has also written a number of business plans for small to medium size companies. Dr. Kretchmer has authored over 50 peer-reviewed papers on his own research and has edited hundreds of scientific manuscripts for scientists from around the world.

Dr. Kretchmer was a lecturer at Cornell University, a visiting professor at the Peruvian Agricultural University and the Ecuadorian National University and an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland.

Dr. Kretchmer was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Foreign Service and has extensive international experience in many countries. He is fluent in Spanish and has consulted and conducted seminars in the United States and overseas. He received a M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. from Cornell University.

Ms. Piedad Blanco is a founder and Managing Editor of the Company. Since 1990 she has edited several hundred manuscripts for the U.S. State Department, Universities, and scientists from around the world. She has given seminars and led training sessions for non-native English speaking people to learn to present and write in English. She has collaborated on writing projects with a number of governments and scientists throughout the world in translating and editing manuscripts. Ms. Blanco is also a California State Certified Interpreter.

Ms. Blanco was a Fullbright Scholar at SUNY Albany in New York where she studied for her Masters Degree in English.
